The Kingston Township Knights got a stellar effort from pitcher Zebulon Vermillion, helping Kingston Township score a 3-1 win over the visiting Houston 1837 BBC. Vermillion went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 6, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-0. Kingston Township is now 26-25.
The Knights beat the 1837 BBC with some clutch hitting. The home run by Holden Ford in the bottom of the first is a good example. With two down, Ford gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he came through with the big hit.
