Bowties Stumble, Lose to Dodgers
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers topped the Buckhead Bowties by the score of 11-4, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Hugh Hill. Hill went 1-2 with a double and 4 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Dodgers. With the win, Brooklyn goes to 31-20, while the Bowties fall to 30-21.
Brooklyn relied on the hitting of Tony Wonder to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the second inning to put the Dodgers on top, 5-0. For the game, Wonder had 1 triple and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Hill told the Brooklyn Daily News.
