Browns Get Close Win Over Rocketeers
|
The Cleveland Browns bested the Seattle Rocketeers by a score of 7-4, with third baseman Richard Trevithick getting the main credit. On the day, Trevithick was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 3 times for the Browns. Ignacio Uribe, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The Rocketeers, at 20-26, have lost 4 straight games.
Cleveland used the timely hitting of Katsuhiko Ishihara to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Browns on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Cleveland manager Greg Diersing.
