Extra-Inning Win by Knights over Stingers
|
The Kingston Township Knights picked up a win at Pacesetter Park, knocking off the Toledo Stingers, 8-5. Starting pitcher Greguorio Espora was an essential part of his team's success. The winner was Kingston Township reliever John Riggleman, now 4-0. The loser was Marcos Oquendo. Erick Indiano closed it out for his 2nd save.
The most important at-bat for Kingston Township came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out, Glenn Curtis reached on an error by the C, driving in 1 run, putting Kingston Township up, 6-5.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Curtis told the Kingston Township Observer.
Kingston Township currently is in 7th place in the Third League at 21-24.
