Victory Over 1837 BBC Takes Ft. Worth to 29-13
|
Ft. Worth right-hander Tom Scots pitched his team to victory over the Houston 1837 BBC at The Cattle Pen. The final score was 8-1. Scots, now 3-3, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 1, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Gojong Joseon sewed up the save, his 1st.
The Cattlemen grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second. With no one out, Keiran Calleson, who is tied for 8th in the 3L in RBI with 30, hit a 2-run home run off Nicolas Roche, putting Ft. Worth in front, 4-0. For Calleson, it was his 5th home run of the season.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Calleson told the Ft. Worth Observer.
The first-place Cattlemen have won 4 straight games.
