Santa Barbara overcame a superlative game from Tom McKee to beat Hialeah, 9-3. The Hialeah pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Adam Garrison recorded the save for Santa Barbara, his 3rd of the season. Hialeah has now lost 4 in a row.

Santa Barbara used the timely hitting of Mike Strickland to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Golden Cranes on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Strickland told the Santa Barbara Daily. "It's as simple as that."
