Hotspur Reserves Come Up Short at Hialeah
|
The Hialeah Dodos scored a 6-5 win versus the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves at Dodos Ballpark. Hialeah pitcher Tom McKee nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. McKee got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. McKee allowed 1 earned run. Picking up the save was James McNeil, his 7th.
The Dodos grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With two out, Arvo Helminen hit a 3-run home run off Abdel Alamini, putting Hialeah in front, 6-1. For Helminen, it was his 3rd home run of the season.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McKee told the Hialeah Daily.
Phoenix has now lost 4 consecutive games.
