Hialeah Dodos starter Dave Stephenson kept the Alloway Halberds hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Stephenson, now 5-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Hialeah is now 25-20, Alloway 20-25.

The Dodos grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third. With two out, Leon Green hit a 2-run home run off Carlos Simon, putting Hialeah in front, 3-0. For Green, it was his 8th home run of the season.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Green told the Hialeah Daily.
