Dodos Reel Off Another Win
|
Dallas McMurran had a hand in Hialeah defeating Phoenix by the score of 11-4. McMurran went 3 for 4 at the plate, scoring 2 times and driving in 1 runs. Richard Osborn picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. José Vélez was tagged with the loss. Sergio Vargas earned the save, his 1st, for the Dodos.
The result might have been different for Hialeah, had it not been for Richard Edwards. The center fielder produced a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dodos ahead, 5-3. For the game, Edwards had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Edwards.
Phoenix has now lost 5 consecutive games.
