Golden Cranes Edge Halberds, 2-1
|
Santa Barbara starter Cipriano Pinto pitched effectively against the Alloway Halberds at Crane Field. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Tony Solíz got credit for the save for Santa Barbara. It was his 12th of the year. Santa Barbara is now 27-12, 4 games up in the Silver AAA.
Stanley van de Ven contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped Santa Barbara get the win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," van de Ven told the Santa Barbara Daily.
