Sacramento beat Memphis on the strength of starter José González's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. González picked up the win for Sacramento, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The 8th-place Redlegs lifted their record to 16-22.
New York-born Ismael Soto came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Redlegs trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Sacramento on top.
