The Plymouth Rocks topped the Syracuse Starks, 9-5, in USSL Triple A action at Plymouth Quarry. The player of the game was Plymouth center fielder Javier Murillo. Nebosja Draskovic earned the win for Plymouth. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 12. With the win, he raised his record to 5-1. The Rocks now have a record of 18-10 with the win over Syracuse.

António Avery had a big bases-clearing double for the Rocks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Plymouth trailing 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Chris Hughes and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rocks ahead, 4-3.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Murillo told reporters after the game.
