Plymouth second baseman Noel Peterson had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rocks dropped a 7-4 decision to Vermont at Plymouth Quarry. Peterson went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Ralph DePalma picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 9 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-0. With the win, Vermont boosts its record to 11-7.

Had Ray Carey not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Carey hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Lake Monsters.
