Starks Fall Short at Sacramento
|
Sacramento catcher Joe Clark had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 5-4 win over the Syracuse Starks. Sacramento reliever Broderick Evans got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Edmund Blackadder was tagged with the loss. The win lifts Sacramento to a record of 10-8.
Sacramento took a 5-4 lead on Shihei Kichikawa's 15th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Kichikawa hit in the bottom of the tenth, left Syracuse pitcher Edmund Blackadder shaking his head.
"This game tested our mettle," said Kichikawa.
