Humpbacks Stay Hot With 4-2 Win
|
Alaskan first baseman Philip Visscher made his presence felt in the 4-2 Humpbacks triumph over the Scranton Supernovas. Visscher went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kanakanui Lokomaikainani got the save, his 12th in 15 chances. Alaskan has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Visscher contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Alaskan in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Visscher took a fastball from Joaquín Pérez and stroked the home run to center. His 30th home run of the season allowed the Humpbacks to leap in front, 4-2.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Alaskan skipper John Carney. "I can't complain."
