Multi-HR Day for MacRach as Belugas Overpower Tritons, 7-4
|
The Brinkley Belugas topped the Jersey City Tritons by the score of 7-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Jim MacRach. MacRach belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Belugas on the day. Brinkley, at 45-47, occupies 4th place in the Premier AAA.
MacRach contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Brinkley in the top of the third. With his team trailing 3-0, MacRach took a fastball from Jeff Enamorado and stroked the home run to right. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Belugas to leap in front, 4-3.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," MacRach told the Brinkley Gazette.
