Longnecks Bridle Supernovas, 3-1
|
Will Hoffman pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Scranton Supernovas, despite Hoffman's fine outing, dropped a 3-1 decision to the Bloomington Longnecks at Nuclear Stadium. John Walton got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances. The Longnecks raised their record to 41-50.
Bloomington relied on the hitting of Brock Waxley to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Longnecks on top, 2-1. For the game, Waxley had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Scranton manager Andha Gangulee.
