Longnecks Prevail, 8-6, Over Brinkley

Bloomington and Brinkley duked it out at Belugas Ballpark and the Longnecks came out victorious.
The Bloomington Longnecks overcame a good performance by Brinkley left fielder Eikki Kankaanperä to knock off Brinkley, 8-6, at Belugas Ballpark. Kankaanperä was 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vicente Durango picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Miika Jarvi was tagged with the loss. Dennis Bly notched his 6th save in 9 chances.
Bloomington used the timely hitting of Lev Migranov to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Longnecks ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Migranov.
Bloomington, at 37-47, sits in 8th place in the Premier AAA.
