Voodoo Rally to Eke Out Win
The New Orleans Voodoo downed the Charleston Battery, 13-12, at Charleston Armory. The Voodoo were led by Jorge Alejándrez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 runs. New Orleans reliever Jorge Villanueva was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was Kenete Daku. Picking up the save was Grover Lowdermilk, his 3rd.

New Orleans used the clutch hitting of Baio Jianbua to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Voodoo the lead, 2-1. For the game, Jianbua had 2 singles and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

In postgame remarks, Jianbua asked: "How do you sum up a game like that?"

The Voodoo raised their record to 25-26.
