Disaster Fall Short at Scranton
Port Royal pitcher José Blanco gave the Supernovas all they could handle, but in the end, Scranton left Nuclear Stadium with a 3-2 win. Blanco allowed 1 earned run on 6 hits over 6.2 innings. Scranton reliever Doppo Omikado picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-1. Chenor Njie was collared with the loss. León Vallejo nailed down his 12th save.

Had António Casas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Casas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Supernovas.

Casas called the win "a collective effort."

Scranton, at 38-42, occupies 7th place in the Premier AAA.
