The Port Royal Disaster went home winners at Ballpark of Port Royal, thanks in large part to starter Darren Garland. Garland silenced the Bloomington Longnecks, enabling Port Royal to grab the 4-1 win. Garland, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Binjimen Victor, credited with the save, is now 15 for 15 in save opportunities.
Júlio Morín Jr. swatted a 2-run home run for Port Royal in the bottom of the fifth. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
