Ogres Lose Again, 4-1, to Farmers
|
Lancaster beat Olympia on the strength of starter Carlos González's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. The winning pitcher was González, now 3-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 4. Alfonso Hadalgo earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Early in the game, third baseman Cord Hosenbeck had a run-scoring double for Lancaster. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Farmers on top, 1-0.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Olympia skipper Bob Thomas.
The Ogres, at 5-29, have lost 7 in a row.
