Humpbacks Win Another One
The Alaskan Humpbacks went home winners at Sea World, thanks in large part to starter Ricardo Martínez. Martínez silenced the Brinkley Belugas, enabling Alaskan to grab the 3-1 win. Juan Espinosa, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The wins continue to add up for Alaskan, with the latest making it 7 in a row.

The Humpbacks got a big at-bat from third baseman Wally Briggs. For the game, Briggs went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 51st hit of the season gave Alaskan a 3-1 lead.

"I like what I saw today," said Alaskan manager John Carney, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
