The Ithaca Fighting Imps beat the Lancaster Farmers, 9-5, at Imps Park. Ewan Manshert was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The 27-year old first baseman was a menace to Lancaster all day. Greg O'Day, credited with the win, is now 1-2. He allowed 4 runs on 11 hits in 6.2 innings. Jeffery Brock finished the game for Ithaca and earned his 7th save.

The Fighting Imps got a big at-bat from right fielder Jimmy Robinson. For the game, Robinson went 2-5 with a triple and a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Ithaca a 5-3 lead.

Manshert expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
