The Virginia Beach Whales relied on the hitting of third baseman Ron Lawrence to stop the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 10-2. For the game, Lawrence went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Whales raised their record to 22-9.

Jamal Grant dealt the Love Boats a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Virginia Beach leading 1-0, Grant, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2031 draft, hit a first pitch fastball for a bases-clearing double.
