The Alaskan Humpbacks defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 6-4, at Sea World. Alaskan designated hitter Shohei Otani was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. The win was Ramon Wuilink's in relief. His record improves to 7-1. José Blanco took the loss for Port Royal. The save went to Kanakanui Lokomaikainani, his 7th this season.
Pat Pending's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Humpbacks. Coming to the plate with a runner on 3rd and Alaskan trailing 4-3, the center fielder hit a sacrifice fly.
"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Otani. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."
At 35-25, the Humpbacks find themselves in second place in the Premier AAA.
