Longnecks Turn Back Scranton, 4-2
|
Bloomington starter Hildebrand Michielsen pitched effectively against the Scranton Supernovas at Lookouts Ballpark. The left-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. In 7.2 innings, Michielsen surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. At 27-32, the Longnecks find themselves in 8th place in the Premier AAA.
The Longnecks beat the Supernovas in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out home run Manuel Estrada produced in the bottom of the sixth. Batting against Scranton pitcher Amando Codes, Estrada gave his team a 3-0 lead when he hit a 3-run home run.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Estrada.
