Brinkley beat Alaskan at Sea World, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Ralph Greer, who earned player of the game honors. Greer went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-0. Brinkley is third in the Premier AAA with a record of 30-25.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the fourth, with the game tied, Andy Alderliesten was at the plate when Brinkley scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Belugas to go in front, 4-2.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Alaskan manager John Carney. "But we decided not to take it."
