Eclipse Stay Hot, Beat Ogres
|
The Northville Eclipse got a strong performance from pitcher Víctor Deleón, who stymied the Olympia offense en route to a 5-1 win at Old-Timers Park. Deleón went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 9. His record improves to 3-0. The Eclipse, now 15-4, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Early in the game, left fielder Daron Mack had a 2-run double for Northville. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Eclipse on top, 2-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Eclipse manager Thomas Kemp, "I like our chances."
