Longnecks Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Scranton
|
The Bloomington Longnecks racked up a win at Lookouts Ballpark, bumping off the Scranton Supernovas, 6-3. Richard Arnie, who started for Bloomington, pitched effectively for his team. In 6.1 innings, Arnie surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Bloomington.
Bloomington grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Jorge Ortíz delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Longnecks.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ortíz.
