The Jersey City Tritons went down to defeat to Jay Mahabir and his Scranton teammates. The final score was 6-1 in favor of the Supernovas. At 20-16, the Supernovas are currently third in the Premier AAA.
Scranton used the bat of Chase Popoff to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Supernovas ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We take it day by day here," said Popoff, "and today was a good one for us."
