Scranton Supernovas starter Joaquín Pérez turned in a top-notch performance against the Jersey City Tritons at Jersey City Grounds. The result was a win for the Supernovas, 5-1. Pérez picked up the win for Scranton, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. Scranton occupies 4th place in the Premier AAA at 19-16.
Scranton used the timely hitting of José Bravo to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Supernovas on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It feels good to get this one," Bravo told the Scranton Bulletin.
