Laming Powers Bronze Sox to 9-7 Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 29-year old first baseman Jayden Laming helped the Texas Bronze Sox beat the Sunset District Fog, 9-7. The Bronze Sox now have a mark of 13-21.
Laming had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Steve Henryson, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Bronze Sox a 9-7 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Laming.
Bronze Sox manager Ricardo Betancourt wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
