Torres goes 4-for-4 in Fog Win
|
The Sunset District Fog knocked off the Port Royal Disaster, 16-5, at Fog Park. Sergio Torres, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Sunset District won. The designated hitter went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. The Fog, now 17-14, have won 7 in a row.
Early in the game, first baseman Cecil Nelson had a grand slam home run for Sunset District. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Fog on top, 4-0.
In postgame remarks, Torres said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
