Longnecks Best Bronze Sox in Pitching Duel

The Bloomington Longnecks scored a 1-0 win versus the Texas Bronze Sox at Lookouts Ballpark. Bloomington pitcher Ron Rouse nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Bloomington reliever Gerald Keller was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Lewis Carter. Dennis Bly nailed down his 4th save.
Kensaku Hatayama, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a cutter from Lewis Carter for a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season put Bloomington in front, 1-0.
