Extra-Inning Win by Tritons over Bronze Sox

Jersey City got an elite performance from starting pitcher Paul Vereen in taking a 1-0 decision over the Texas Bronze Sox. Jersey City currently is in 6th place in the Premier AAA at 11-14.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Jim Brown came to bat in the bottom of the 12th. Facing Texas pitcher Currito Melena, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Jersey City on top, 1-0.
"This game tested our mettle," said Brown.
