Victory Pushes Disaster Record to 12-11
|
The Port Royal Disaster topped the Jersey City Tritons, 5-2, in USPL Triple A action at Ballpark of Port Royal. The player of the game was Port Royal pitcher Joe Louter. Louter picked up the win for Port Royal, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Jersey City now has a 5-game losing streak.
The Disaster grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With two out, Júlio Morín Jr., who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2028 draft, hit a solo home run off Alfred Osuch, putting Port Royal in front, 4-2. For Morín Jr., it was his 1st home run of the season.
"I really like what we did out there today," Louter said after the game.
