Virginia Beach Wins 10-1 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
Virginia Beach starter Travis Morgan kept the Lake Minnetonka hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a 10-1 win. Morgan, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Virginia Beach, at 10-1, is off to a blistering start.
Virginia Beach used the timely hitting of Sergio San Martín to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Whales ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
