Northville Eclipse starter Roger Edwards kept the Biloxi Shuckers hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Reliever Jason Gilbert picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. César Torres took the loss. The win brings the Eclipse to 6-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Ik-jun Cho drove in one run for Northville. The slick-fielding shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off César Torres. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Northville manager Thomas Kemp.
