Supernovas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Disaster
|
The Scranton Supernovas went home winners at Nuclear Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Jay Mahabir. Mahabir silenced the Port Royal Disaster, enabling Scranton to grab the 2-1 win. The Supernovas now have a record of 10-11 with the win over Port Royal.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Scranton center fielder António Casas, facing Christian Clayton, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Supernovas the 2-1 win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Casas.
