The Texas Bronze Sox topped the Calgary Lynx, 5-4, in USPL Triple A action at Bronze Sox Park. The player of the game was Texas right fielder Dave Watts. Hercules Mata'afa got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Texas, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.

Cristo Cuervo was the walk-off hero for Texas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bronze Sox pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"This place sure got loud," said Ricardo Betancourt, the Texas manager.
