Blimps Mow Down Rapiers, 10-3

It was a fun time at Goodyear Hanger Dome, where the Durham Rapiers and Akron Blimps tangled.
The Akron Blimps picked up a win at Goodyear Hanger Dome, knocking off the Durham Rapiers, 10-3. Starting pitcher Eddo Mud, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Mud, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 4 walks.
The Blimps got a big at-bat from designated hitter Donald Lund. For the game, Lund was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Akron a 2-0 lead.
"We maximized our offense today," said Akron skipper Barrett Abbott. "That makes everyone's life easier."
The loss lowers the Durham record to 1-3.
