Coyotes Fall Short, 6-5, at Houston
|
The Houston BC did just enough to secure a 6-5 victory over the Hamilton Coyotes at Houston Park. Nobody did more than designated hitter Toby Sutton, who captured player of the game honors. Houston has now won 3 straight, while the Coyotes have lost 5 in a row.
In the bottom of the fifth, Houston left fielder Walt Miller had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and one out, Miller stroked a run-scoring double to right. It made the score 3-2, Houston. For the game, he went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Hamilton manager Ken Beach. "The effort was great."
