Houston starter Shawn Coleman had a strong outing against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Coleman, now 6-4. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Júlio Rodríguez got the save, his 15th in 17 chances.
Houston used the timely hitting of Daniel Lindsey to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the BC on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We'll savor this win," Lindsey told the Houston Today, "then get ready for the next game."
The BC bumped their record to 50-49 with this latest triumph.
