Martínez Leads Charge, Milton Blasts Men
|
The Milton Dogfish Head pounded the Florida Men, 34-2, at Psychos Ballpark. Milton shortstop Juan Martínez was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 3 with a triple, a double, 4 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 5 times and drove in 3. The losses continue to mount for Florida, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
The outcome might have been different for Milton, had it not been for Kieran Hansen, the 24-year old second baseman . Hansen stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put Milton up, 20-1. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Hansen.
