BC Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Men
|
The Florida Men got a superb performance from pitcher Oscar Kenselaar, but the Houston BC still won the game, 5-2. Kenselaar was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. The winner was Houston reliever Francisco Guillén, now 5-1. The loser was Robert Cagle. Júlio Rodríguez got the save, the 12th for him this season.
It could have been a different outcome for Houston, had it not been for Daniel Lindsey, the 25-year old second baseman . Lindsey contributed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put Houston up, 2-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Lindsey. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Houston has now won 5 games in a row.
