Josh Waymouth pitched well, but his team, the Salt Lake City Buzz, still dropped a 1-0 decision to the Tortolita Drummers at Spirits Stadium. Tortolita reliever Gil Brown picked up the win to move to 4-0. Josh Waymouth suffered the loss. Scott Thompson sewed up the save, his 3rd.
Tortolita relied on the hitting of Sergio Ortíz to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Drummers on top, 1-0. For the game, Ortíz had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Ortíz.
Tortolita is now 65-18, 13 games up in the Menard's AAA.
