Flyers Suffer 7-1 Loss to Timber Hawks
|
The Augusta Timber Hawks topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 7-1, in M3L Triple A action at Pennsauken Park. The player of the game was Augusta pitcher and Oranjestad, Aruba native Sean Halls. Halls, now 4-7, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Augusta now owns a record of 43-38.
The Timber Hawks grabbed the lead in the top of the second. With two out, Mike Houston hit a 2-run home run off Ralph Haggerty, putting Augusta in front, 4-1. For Houston, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Houston. "And not try to do too much."
