Florida pitcher Enrique Cruz did his part in helping his team beat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 2-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Joseph Merle recorded the save for Florida, his 17th of the season. The 'W' lifts Florida's record to 32-47.

It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Basava Puri, the 24-year old center fielder . Puri contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Florida up, 1-0.
