BC Walk It Off for 38th Win of Season
|
The Houston BC picked up a win at Houston Park, knocking off the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jesús Franco, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Houston reliever Júlio Rodríguez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Scott Thompson shouldered the loss. The BC now have a record of 38-40 with the win over Tortolita.
Ramón Robles chipped in for Houston with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We had a good game plan," Franco said, "and we were able to execute it."
